We rely heavily on our dates. We’re proud of them. Sourced from farms in Tunisia, our organic dates act as a scrumptious sweet binder that gives Shocolat the creamy texture, natural sweetness and one-of-a-kind deliciousness you can’t find in any other chocolate spread. Dates are also high in fiber and disease-fighting antioxidants, which isn’t such a bad thing either.
Nuts get a bad rap. Mostly because folks who we won’t name (you know who you are) add a bunch of junk in their nut butters to make them anything but healthy. But, when done right, nuts are nature’s power food. We use good wholesome hazelnuts and peanuts sourced from Argentina and Oregon... and we leave the added oils and sugars and nonsense completely out of the mix. The result? All-natural nutty flavor explosion.
To make the best chocolate spread in the world, you have to scour the world for the best ingredients. We did our research and discovered that the finest chocolates are made from a very rare cacao only found in certain parts of Peru –– Organic Peruvian Criollo Cacao. Certified organic and fair trade, our cacao is our top secret ingredient and a major reason it’s impossible to put our jars of Shocolat down.
We're not sure if you've heard the news. But fats are now the good guys. Healthy fats, that is. We use High Oleic Sunflower Oil derived from sunflower seeds in our Shocolat spread because its the creme de la creme of healthy fats. It not only gives our shocolat spread a delicious creamy consistency but it acts as a natural fuel source for busy folks like yourself, always on the move.
Unlike other chocolate spreads who use a vanilla imposter called “Vanillin”, Shocolat takes pride in using the best most luxurious kind of vanilla, Tahitian Vanilla. Every bit of vanilla flavor you taste in each spoonful of Shocolat is 100% the real thing... that’s a beautiful thing. And, while we rely on our natural wholesome ingredients to deliver the majority of the flavor, we aren’t afraid to throw in just a pinch of salt to really bring out the flavor.
